Take a stand against bullying.

On October 18, 2018, millions will go purple to stand against bullying and in support of LGBTQ youth. In effort to help raise awareness and garner support for LGBTQ youth, GLAAD is relying on supporters and friends to help raise $100,000 by October 31st.

Since its inception in 2010, Spirit Day has become the largest, most visible anti-bullying campaign in the world and continues to gain momentum. With more than 1.5 billion media impressions annually, Spirit Day reaches audiences across the globe with messages of acceptance and support.

Taking the pledge to go purple is a great start, but you also have the opportunity to come together and make a commitment to help us raise $100,000 for GLAAD’s continued work to accelerate acceptance and prevent bullying. Your generosity and the support of your co-workers, friends, and family are crucial in helping us continue accelerating acceptance.

This year, Spirit Day is bound to be even bigger: celebrities, media outlets, corporations, landmarks, faith groups, sports leagues, schools, and local communities will wear purple or ‘go purple’ online in a united stand against bullying and to show support and raise funds for LGBTQ youth. Your support and participation will play a key role in helping do all this.

Thank you again so much and supporting this year's Spirit Day!

P.S. Don't forget to spread the word by telling your friends, colleagues, and family members!
